Pink’s Famous Hot Dogs, the self-proclaimed Hollywood Legend, has re-opened, and the much anticipated Blaze Pizza has officially made its debut. Along with many other restaurants and retail businesses on CityWalk, Pink’s closed its doors earlier this year. The CityWalk Hollywood Universal Studios Store has officially reopened to the public. With its recent expansion, there is now room to feature an all new Wizarding World of Harry Potter section, which includes souvenirs and memorabilia from the much loved franchise. News of this expansion date back as far as September of 2014, when Things From Another World announced its move to the former Game Stop location. Production Central has reopened, Inside Universal has learned. Along with the end of Grinchmas 2015, Production Central closed its doors for an undetermined amount of time or reason. With its recent reopening, we can now see the project that was being worked on behind those closed doors. Finally rid of the unnecessary clutter, the newly refurbished Production Central now features a more open and organized store layout. Along with the reorganization of props and souvenirs, the new flooring, walls, and shelving are now consistent with the storefront. Hollywood Pizza & Gelato has closed and will be replaced by Blaze Pizza, Inside Universal has learned. Hollywood Pizza & Gelato is only one of the many iterations of quick service pizza restaurants to be in this location. Since its replacement of Antonio’s Pizza in 2013, Hollywood Pizza & Gelato has been providing guests of Universal CityWalk with delicious New York style pizza and Italian style gelatos. Conveniently located next to the AMC Universal CityWalk movie theater, this pizza shop was a favorite of many pizza eaters and movie goers. Take a special look at Universal’s new Special Effects Show! On December 18, 2015, Universal Studios Hollywood invited its Annual Passholders to a preview of their enhanced Special Effects Show, just two months after its closure in October 2015. A large crowd was in attendance that day to get a first look at the new show. The “Warning” sign posted outside the entrance now warns guests of fire effects utilized during the show.
