Universal Orlando is rolling out a new pricing model, switching to date-based pricing for theme park tickets, as prices will vary depending on the date of your visit. Prices will be higher during peak periods, which is a popular but busy time to visit the parks. In contrast, prices will be lower during the off-peak season, which is less crowded. For example, a standard Florida Resident 2-Park, 1-Day ticket starts at $164+tax but climbs to $194+tax during the Holiday season. Despite the event’s cancellation, Universal Orlando continues to release more Halloween Horror Nights merchandise. Today, Universal released a set of 4 collectible glasses, featuring the original 4 Horror Night icons: Jack the Clown, The Caretaker, The Director, and The Storyteller. Each glass features an icon along with a short backstory blurb. Retails for $12+tax. In addition, a new Beetlejuice face mask was released in both medium and large sizes. Here’s a look at the progress on the unannounced Jurassic Park coaster at Islands of Adventure. As per our last photo update, much of the track has been installed, with just the last bank back into the load station left to install; with most of the attention continuing to focus on rock work and themeing. Universal Orlando has confirmed that they will temporarily suspend operations of both Sapphire Falls Resort and Aventura Hotel beginning Friday, August 21. Here is Universal’s official statement: We continue to evaluate our offerings and have decided to consolidate our hotel operations as we manage through current conditions.  We will be operating the Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites and temporarily suspending operations at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort and Universal’s Aventura Hotel as of August 21.  Guests with reservations at Sapphire Falls or Aventura will be accommodated…

Universal Orlando is making a couple of limited-time changes to its Premier Annual Pass benefits to make up for some of the lost benefits due to operational changes during the pandemic. From now until September 30, Universal Express is now available at 2pm, starting 2 hours earlier from the usual 4pm slot. Universal is also allowing one free theme park admission ticket for a guest from August 17 to December 24, 2020. Universal Orlando has opened Central Park Crêpes, a new food stand located near the entrance of Central Park in Universal Studios Florida. SeaWorld Orlando’s annual Craft Beer Festival returns with access to more than 100 crafts brews, taking place Saturdays and Sundays through September 20. Busch Gardens Tampa has announced that its annual Halloween event, Howl-O-Scream, will return this fall for its 21st year in a modified form to adhere to pandemic safety guidelines; featuring open-air scare zones and entertainment. The event will run for 18 nights every Friday through Sunday from September 25 – November 1, 2020.
