Bend the Bao has officially opened at CityWalk Orlando. The new restaurant features a variety of items that fuse popular Asian cuisine with diverse ingredients like crab cakes, pork belly, kimchee fried chicken, and more – creating an entirely new mash-up that “bends” the idea of a traditional bao. Universal Orlando has announced that it will open an all-new quick-service food venue called Bend The Bao at Universal CityWalk on June 15. Universal Orlando has officially opened Jurassic World VelociCoaster, one of the most anticipated attractions at the Resort in recent years. The new attraction lets guests go on a “Raptor Run”, a high-speed chase alongside a pack of Velociraptors on the hunt – reaching speeds up to 70 mph and reaching heights of 155 ft into the air. Universal CityWalk Hollywood has announced they are partnering with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to host a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination site from Thursday, June 10 to Sunday, June 13 and from Friday, June 18 to Thursday, June 24, 2021, noon to 6:00 p.m. in which the Pfizer-BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccines will be administered by Curative. Self-parking is free for guests who arrive at Universal CityWalk with proof of confirmed appointments. SeaWorld Orlando made an absolute shocker of an announcement this afternoon as they revealed that they will be bringing Howl-O-Scream to the park for the 2021 haunt season. Media were invited out to SeaWorld today under the impression they would be getting a look at this year’s Electric Ocean event. Busch Gardens Tampa has announced the return of Howl-O-Scream for the 2021 Halloween season starting Sept 10, sharing tickets, dates, and offering brief hints as to what will be featured at this year’s event. The new cafe is located near the park entrance and near Manta and includes amazing working scale roller-coaster models and historical depictions of SeaWorld coaster history. The Summer Tribute Store featuring Jurassic World has officially opened, celebrating the iconic franchise, as well as the upcoming Grand Opening of Universal’s newest attraction, VelociCoaster – opening June 10 at Islands of Adventure. DreamWorks Destination is officially now open at Universal Studios Florida. The all-new interactive character experience is set in KidZone, replacing A Day in the Park with Barney which closed earlier this year. Guests will be able to meet, greet, and dance with some of their favorite DreamWorks characters; including Kung Fu Panda, Trolls, Madagascar, and Shrek. The experience takes place for over an hour, with 3 different character sets of 20 minutes. The characters rotate between the 3 sections to allow everyone an opportunity for a photo.
