It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Scarezone setup is underway at Universal Studios Florida as the park gets ready for Halloween Horror Nights 31. The first props have appeared down Hollywood, and appear to be “Crypts”. As of now, no scarezones have been announced so speculate away. Most of the other setup around the park has been truss towers for scarezone lighting, especially in San Francisco and Central Park. Shrek and Donkey have a new home in Kidzone. The popular meet and greet experience is back, now located in the KidZone area of the theme park – right next to DreamWorks Destination. The location used to serve as Barney’s Gift Shop. The original Meet & Greet location closed last month for a new, yet-to-be-announced experience. Universal Studios Hollywood has added a new section to the Universal Studio Store, inspired by the upcoming Super Nintendo World, opening in early 2023. The new section features apparel, collectibles, and a fun photo opportunity for guests. Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood will transport theme park guests and Nintendo fans into the world of Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach to become part of their compelling universe. Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the addition of the original Jupiter’s Claim set from Jordan Peele’s upcoming new horror epic, Nope, will be featured as a new attraction on the world-famous Studio Tour, beginning July 22. The Jupiter’s Claim set was created by Production Designer Ruth DeJong, then carefully disassembled post-production and transported to Universal Studios Hollywood where it was meticulously reconstructed on site, complete with original props and details from the film. Skechers has permanently closed at CityWalk Hollywood. The closure seemingly came from nowhere, as no announcement was ever given. Universal Orlando has announced the much-anticipated return of Loews Royal Pacific Resort’s Wantilan Luau – the festive, family-friendly luau and dinner show.
