It may be March, but Horror never sleeps! Halloween Horror Nights 2024 is officially under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood. As of now, maze (aka house) construction is taking place in the Curious George Parking Lot and the Revenge of the Mummy extended queue. Universal gets an early start on maze construction to ensure the highly detailed sets are complete by the time Opening Night rolls around. The first track pieces have begun installation on the Fast & Furious Coaster, currently under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood. Currently, the track has only been installed in the purported coaster station; but the surrounding area has been preparing the hillside for beam support – meaning we should start seeing more tracks installed soon. Announced last Summer, Universal Studios Hollywood states the new coaster will feature “innovative and technological achievements never previously employed to this all-new thrill ride”. Universal Orlando has announced that guests can meet the MinaLima founders, the designers behind the graphic props of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films, during a special appearance at the “House of MinaLima” pop-up store inside the Universal Studios Store at Universal CityWalk. Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood have announced they will celebrate “Butterbeer Season”, offering fans and guests a chance to enjoy Butterbeer in all-new ways within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter beginning March 15 and continuing through April 30, 2024. Universal Studios Hollywood has brought back the Glamor Trams to the Studio Tour as the historic experience is set to celebrate 60 years in 2024. As of now, it seems there is only Glamor Tram in use for the Tour. The iconic Glamor Trams were used when the Studio Tour debuted in 1964, inviting tourists to “see film rushes of current productions, both feature, and television, being made at Universal City”.
