CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular has officially debuted at Universal Studios Florida. We were invited out to preview the new nighttime show by Universal Orlando before it opened to the public on Friday, June 14th. Hogwarts Always has debuted in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure, running on select nights through August 25. Replacing the Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle, which ran from 2018 until 2023, the new Hogwarts Always show takes the projection production to the next step. Universal Studios Hollywood has announced Dead Exposure: Death Valley, a new original haunted house that will be featured at Halloween Horror Nights 2024. Universal only provided a summary of the house’s synopsis: “Dead Exposure: Death Valley: A secret lab’s attempts to create super soldiers takes a turn for the worse, creating radioactive zombies who escape just as you arrive!” The Dead Exposure franchise has been featured at Universal Orlando for several HHN seasons, with the most recent installment being Dead Exposure: Patient Zero in 2018. Universal Studios Hollywood has introduced a new interactive game in the Frosted Glacier within Super Nintendo World. Guests begin by punching the “?” Block where one of four Power-Up items – Fire Flower, Ice Flower, Super Mushroom, or Super Star – appear on the screen. They then can tap the Power-Up item and use it by swiping or tapping to defeat Goombas and Red and Green Koopa Paratroopas or tapping brick blocks as they flash by which earns them coins. Universal Orlando has opened the new DreamWorks Imagination Cafe near DreamWorks Land, replacing the old KidZone Pizza Company. The quick-service counter restaurant is still in the midst of its transition to the new theme – but it is open to guests. Universal Orlando has released new Halloween Horror Nights 33 preview merchandise, featuring the fan-favorite icon, Lil Boo. The merchandise features a psychedelically colorful design, with some familiar Horror Nights iconography – including the famous “lil” pumpkin. The line features a T-Shirt ($33), Tumbler Cup ($40), Coaster ($12), Ornament ($20), and a decor stand ($25).
