Universal has released the official TV spot for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, which will be used for both coasts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7Enla_uv8Y The TV Spot features the Demogorgon from Stranger Things, the TV/The Beast from Poltergeist, and The Shape a.k.a. Michael Myers from Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Universal Orlando has announced today a series of Harry Potter-based events to celebrate the new school year. Beginning September 1, Back to Hogwarts will be able to enjoy several different events inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – including a Back to Hogwarts Social Media Meet-Up. This is a limited, special event and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis; with details to be announced soon. Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the final house for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights – Universal Monsters. Inspired by Universal’s original classic Monsters – including Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster and The Wolf Man – the new maze will feature a contemporary twist on these classic horror icons and will pay homage to each of the Monster’s unique attributes, reimagining them into “terrifying modern-day characters”. Universal Orlando has announced the 10th and final house for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights 28 – Scary Tales: Deadly Ever After. The house centers around the Wicked Witch, who has corrupted the land of Fairy Tales with an evil spell; where the good guys turn evil, and the villains are even worse. There will be twisted takes on Humpty Dumpty, Rapunzel, and of course, the Land of Oz. This is the 4th time that Scary Tales will be featured as a house at the event. The Horrors of Blumhouse will be returning to this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, bringing to life in all-new mazes at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort, beginning Friday, September 14. Aventura Hotel has officially welcomed its first guests and is now open as the 6th on-site resort at Universal Orlando. The 600 room hotel is very technologically driven and features a contemporary, modern design. The shape of the hotel, officially, is called Trefoil; and Universal’s design team really embraced the shape by utilizing it in signage, furniture, and decor. The selling point of the hotel is the views, as well as offering all of Universal’s on-site amenities for a low cost. It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Universal Orlando has started setting up the streets to transform into their respective scare zones for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. As of now, only Central Park is being staged for the Twisted Tradition scare zone. In the coming weeks – props, lighting, rigs, and more, will be added to other areas of Universal Studios Florida for the popular Halloween event. In Twisted Tradition,  the zone will be centered around rotting pumpkins with “Fetid beings” inhabiting the area. Universal Orlando has confirmed “The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad” is set to close officially on September 15th. The stunt show featured Sindbad and his wisecracking sidekick Kabob perform death-defying stunts in an attempt to rescue the beautiful Princess Amoura from the evil witch Miseria and her ghoulish henchmen. The show originally opened along with Universal’s Islands of Adventure in 1999. Universal has not announced a replacement at this time.
