Welcome back to June’s photo update around CityWalk and Universal Studios Hollywood! This month we take a look at some of the ongoing construction happening for Halloween Horror Nights along with other parts of the Upper Lot. We also take a look into some new merchandise available all throughout the park.

CityWalk Hollywood
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken marketing has taken over Universal Cinema. A poster and photo op are located on CityWalk as well.
A poster for the film, Strays, is now featured on the Universal Pictures sign.
Upper Lot Construction
The former Animal Actors Stage and Production Central are no more. Meanwhile, Stage 56, the former home of the Special Effects Show, remains standing – though work is ongoing on the exterior.
The Studio Directory is now located near the entrance of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Halloween Horror Nights 2023 Construction
Universal has started to focus on Halloween Horror Nights 2023 with merchandise, with the release of limited-time The Last of Us preview merch.
Here’s a look at the houses in the Lower Lot currently under construction. It was recently revealed that the The Mummy extended queue will be home to The Last of Us haunted house.
A few more decorative features have been added to the front facade of the house that will run through the Parisian Courtyard.
Villain-Con Merchandise
Though the attraction is opening in Universal Orlando this summer, Villain-Con merchandise is now available throughout the park. Some of the merchandise includes apparel, keychains, backpacks, and more.
A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That
Walls and scaffolding are up along the building in New York Street.
Mobile Ordering at select restaurants is available inside the park through the app.
The Jurassic Park 30th anniversary souvenir cup has arrived!
Posters for some of Universal Pictures upcoming summer films, including Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken and Oppenheimer, have appeared on The Mummy ride building as well as the banners along the Starway.
Love is Universal merchandise is also available with 100% of profits being donated to Los Angeles LGBT Center through August 2023.
New Universal Studios merchandise resembling collegiate gear is now available.
