Due to the looming threat of Hurricane Ian, Universal Orlando has announced operational changes and closures for Wednesday and Thursday.
All 3 parks and CityWalk will be closed fully closed on Wednesday, Sept. 28, and Thursday, Sept. 29.
In addition, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida will also be cancelled Wednesday, Sept. 28, and Thursday, Sept. 29.
Per Universal, on-site hotels are currently at full capacity and will remain operational to focus on taking care of their on-site guests.
Universal anticipates reopening the parks, as well as holding Halloween Horror Nights, on Friday, September 30, depending on the weather conditions.
As much as we love theme parks – safety is always the priority. Whether or not Universal Orlando, or any theme park, remains open should be the last thing to worry about.
If you are already in Orlando and cannot leave before the hurricane’s effects are felt, make sure to get all the supplies you feel are necessary for your travel party. The hotel will be your “home” to ride out the storm. Each resort is equipped to handle hurricanes, and the staff is trained to handle any emergency situation.
