CityWalk Hollywood

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen construction site has made some steady progress. We can now see scaffolding along the exterior with what appears to be black polyethylene sheets covering numerous parts of the building. We can also see two red towers which seem to resemble chimneys. There is still no announcement for an official opening date, but the Universal Studios Box Office located on CityWalk which allows guests to make dining reservations recently placed a sticker of the restaurant’s logo with the words “coming soon” written across.

The Universal Cinema received a Minions makeover in anticipation of the new film, Minions: The Rise of Gru releasing in theaters on July 1st.

Sunglasses Sensations, a new retail shop will be opening soon on CityWalk!

The Production Central on CityWalk has moved to what used to be the Cartooniversal Toy Shop. Inside the store, there is a variety of merchandise ranging from Back to the Future to Universal Monsters. A blue wall surrounds the storefront of the original Production Central location.

Super Nintendo World Construction

Set to open in early 2023, Super Nintendo World has made a lot of visible changes since the last photo update. A majority of Bowser’s Castle seems to be completed and many of the scaffolding surrounding the structures have been taken down. Piranha plants wrapped in plastic along with colorful blocks can be seen throughout the land.

Halloween Horror Nights 2022 Construction

The second tent on the Curious George Lot now has walls and is putting together its front facade. In addition, there are wooden fences surrounding both maze entrances and a few set pieces can be seen scattered through the lot. A truck labeled “Smyth’s Piano Service” is placed at the entrance of one maze and there is also a wagon put off to the side.

The front facade and exterior of the maze located next to the Revenge of the Mummy queue are decorated with a variety of wooden boxes and barrels. We can clearly see the words, “Alucard Trading Co.” along the top with some chain detailing.

The front facade of the maze running through the Parisian Courtyard now has three bells adorning the top with rustic bricks surrounding its frame. We can also see that black walls have now been put up within the inside of the courtyard for the maze.

A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That

The Studio Store on the Lower Lot is receiving a slight makeover and will be adding a new concession stand in the front.

There is a new guest services desk located in the rental locker area of Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride. Guests can upgrade their tickets, buy lanyards, and request badges for special occasions.

The new Verdy x Minions collaboration merchandise is available for purchase at the Super Silly Fun Stuff store on the Upper Lot. All discounts are excluded from this collection. This limited edition drop by the Japanese graphic artist Verdy is only available while supplies last! Get it while you can!

A new Minion popcorn bucket is available for purchase all throughout the park. For $25.99, guests not only receive this adorable popcorn bucket but can also get free popcorn refills throughout the entire day on the day of purchase.

A portion of the Studio Store on the Upper Lot has been sectioned off. We are truly excited about what’s in store!

That’ll do it for this month’s photo update. As always, we wish you well and thank you for following our continuing coverage of Universal Parks and Resorts.
