Recently, Inside Universal was graciously invited for a food sampling of Universal CityWalk’s newest restaurants – Vivo Italian Kitchen and the new Antojitos Mexican Restaurant. Both restaurants – owned and operated by Universal itself – offer a variety of dishes inspired by their respective authentic cuisines that all are sure to enjoy.
As we have already covered the openings of both restaurants, we’ll use this article to offer you a look at a number of the delicious dishes you can try for yourself at both restaurants.
Firstly, we began with a taste test of the many delicious offerings at Vivo Italian Kitchen, including a handful of appetizers, entrees, and desserts served by a welcoming staff. During our tasting, we especially enjoyed the flavorful “Sausage Ragu”, antipasto platter, and of course, the tiramisu.
We’ve been to Vivo several times since its opening and have enjoyed our meals each visit. Vivo prides itself on fresh, handmade pasta, so we highly recommend any of the many pasta dishes that are offered here.
After concluding the first half of our samplings, we headed over to Antojitos Mexican Restaurant to try a variety of their dishes as well. For additional details and descriptions, check out our recent review of our first visit to the restaurant.
During our tasting, we can’t say enough positive things about the salsas that are served with the complimentary chips. The ceviche was fresh, with just the right amount of kick and full of flavor considering the simplicity of the ingredients.
We want to thank Universal again for inviting us to experience a taste of both Vivo Italian Kitchen and Antojitos Mexican Restaurant at CityWalk Hollywood.
Be sure to stop by either of these fantastic restaurants on your next visit to Universal Studios Hollywood for a delightful dining experience, whichever taste your preference.
