Tickets and details released for Halloween Horror Nights 28 at Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando has released pricing and package information for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights 28 – including prices for Frequent Fear Passes, behind-the-scenes tours, and Express passes; in addition to announcing all-new original scarezones, the return of the Academy of Villains dance show, and the addition of a 10th house.

Tickets prices have increased this year. A single-day ticket to the event is $114.99 + tax, up $5 from last year; however you can purchase online ahead of time for a huge discount of $62.99 + tax for certain nights of the event. Frequent Fear Passes, which allows guests multiple visits to the event, are now $106.99 + tax.

Also announced today was the reveal of 3 original scarezones that guests will be experiencing this year; The Harvest, Vamp ’85: New Year’s Eve, and Twisted Traditions.

Travel through the forest of Central Park where an ancient evil has been awakened. Halloween has been transformed into an abomination with rotting pumpkins fused with decaying human flesh. Try and escape the grasps of these fetid beings, with nothing but the light from rotting jack o’ lanterns to guide you.

Before the countdown to midnight has started, it’s clear this party has already been crashed, and the streets are running red with blood. You’ll enter what looks to be your typical New Year’s Eve bash until it’s too late. As the ball drops, fanged punks and big-haired vamps will start their feeding frenzy.

An old barn is the setting of every kind of horror. Its walls are decorated with ominous objects and images from each house, hinting at the horrors to come. This barn is not as abandoned as it initially seems, and by the time you realize what lies within, it will be too late. Foul creatures lurk within, ready for a harvest of flesh and screams. Will you survive the reaping?

Also confirmed was the overall theme this year of bringing the horrors of the 1980’s to life; as well as the addition of a 10th haunted house, the most in Horror Nights history – although more details about the 10th haunted house will be revealed soon.

The Academy of Villains will be returning to Halloween Horror Nights for their 3rd year in a row. Their inclusion this year is no surprise. After an extremely-positively received debut during Halloween Horror Nights 26; last year’s show was heavily affected by the last minute impact of Hurricane Irma. With the loss of the popular Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure show, this will now be the main show for the event this year.

Halloween Horror Nights 28 will take place at Universal Studios Florida, spanning 34 nights from September 14 through November 3.
