Details are extremely scarce but Disney has confirmed at the D23 Expo Parks & Resorts panel that a Star Wars-inspired resort concept is heading to Walt Disney World.
“It’s unlike anything that exists today.” Bob Chapek said, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. “From the second you arrive, you will become a part of a Star Wars story! You’ll immediately become a citizen of the galaxy and experience all that entails, including dressing up in the proper attire. Once you leave Earth, you will discover a starship alive with characters, stories, and adventures that unfold all around you. It is 100% immersive, and the story will touch every single minute of your day, and it will culminate in a unique journey for every person who visits.”
The resort will debut under a new term Disney calls a “Disney 360 vacation concept”.
No opening date, location, or price point was given – but if you want to start the discussion based on an early rumor:
Hearing $650/night for Star Wars hotel, minimum 2 nights, $200/person/night for others in room. So $2,500 for 2 nights for fam of 4.
