‘Miss Fortune Falls’ Attraction Announced Coming to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon in Spring 2017

Walt Disney World has announced a new slide is coming to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park.

Miss Fortune Falls, a family-style raft attraction, takes guests through the fabled Captain Mary Oceanear’s past. According to the Disney Parks Blog, Captain Oceanear was a treasure-hunting heroine,  who travelled across the sea collecting unique artifacts before she became stranded at Typhoon Lagoon many years ago by a rogue storm.

Guests will climb aboard “treasure rafts” during the white-water adventure, where they will be able to see some of the treasures Captain Oceanear “gathered from around the world.”

With a ride time of two minutes, Miss Fortune Falls will be among the lengthiest attractions at both Disney Water Parks.

The attraction will be located near Crush ‘n’ Gusher, which opened in 2005.
