For a limited time, Universal has reinstated the CA Resident Annual Pass for select Californian residents until August 15, 2016.
Featuring 224 days of valid admission (including 39 weekend days), this offer is only applicable to select guests who are on Universal’s mailing list. This mailing list typically includes current or past annual pass holders who are registered with Universal’s online mailing system.
Like the previous CA Resident Annual Pass, this special offer does not include any discounts on in-park food, beverage or merchandise.
Is this offer valid to all Californian residents?
At the moment, no. Universal’s email blast explicitly states that this offer is tied to the recipient’s email address. If you’ve registered with Universal’s mailing list in the past, you should receive an email with a link to purchase this new pass.
If I did receive an email, can I upgrade to the new CA Resident Annual Pass if my current pass features fewer dates?
The answer is “it depends.” At $109, there’s a good chance that the new CA Resident Annual Pass is priced lower or at par with your current pass. Since there’s no direct upgrade (e.g., Deluxe to Premium), you’ll have to contact Universal to see if they can make an accommodation.
If you’re at the park, go to Will Call. If you’re at home, you may call Universal at 1-800-UNIVERSAL.
How can I sign up for Universal’s mailing list?
You may sign up at this link on Universal’s official website.
I’m on Universal’s mailing list and I haven’t received this email. What can I do?
Universal may be sending these email notices in waves, so try to wait a day or two to receive an email. If you’ve yet to receive an email, it may be possible that Universal is not extending this offer to everyone on their mailing list. You may contact 1-800-UNIVERSAL for more information.
