Today, Gaylord Palms announced that packages and tickets for Christmas at Gaylord Hotels are available at www.ChristmasAtGaylordHotels.com – and that this year’s ICE! will feature A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles Schulz.
The classic Christmas cartoon features Charlie Brown rediscovering the true meaning of Christmas as the story unfolds through interactive ice sculptures and displays.
ICE! – Gaylord Hotels’ signature holiday attraction – is hand-carved by master ice artisans from Harbin, China. Each location includes more than 2 million pounds of ice carved into colorful sculptures and multi-story ice slides. The experience is kept at nine degrees Fahrenheit, and themes vary by location. (Other themes include Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at Gaylord Opryland; Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town at Gaylord Texan and Christmas Around the World at Gaylord National.)
In addition to ICE!, The Gaylord Palms features several other Christmas-based shows and activites, including Snow Tubing in real snow at the Alpine Rush Snow Tubing area, Cirque Dreams UnWrapped – a 25 min Broadway-style stage show, The Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt, and photos with Santa Claus. Gaylord Palms is introducing “Mrs. Claus Christmas Traditions and Story Time Sing-a-long”. The new addition features Mrs. Claus reading holiday classics singing Christmas carols. The 30-minute show also comes with cookies and a glass of ice cold milk!
