With The Wizarding World of Harry Potter now undergoing technical rehearsals, we thought it’d be useful to take a closer look at what Universal’s newest blockbuster land has to offer. With several shops, a restaurant, and two attractions, Wizarding World West – as we’ve coined it – is Universal’s largest update to date in the last decade, dramatically altering the face of the Upper Lot and the park as a whole. With clones already in place at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Florida and Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Hollywood’s iteration will be the third incarnation of this land.
…
Because the land is layered with dining, retail and attractions, we’re going to focus on the left hand side of Hogsmeade in this piece, which includes Honeydukes, Three Broomsticks, Hog’s Head, Dogweed and Deathcap, Public Conveniences (or restrooms), Madam Puddingfoot’s Tea and Cake Shop, Ollivanders and Wiseacre’s Wizarding Equipment. If you’re looking for addition information on any of these venues – including menus, tips and a video walkthrough – be sure to visit our comprehensive guides section for profiles on Wizarding World West’s shops, restaurants and attractions.
Before we get started, we should once again stress that the new land is under technical rehearsals. This means that elements of Hogsmeade may change at any time – usually for the better. So while we believe this pictorial will be useful in mapping out what the land has to offer, we’re going to reserve our full judgement until April 7 when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter officially opens. We encourage you to do the same.
