August 5, 2014 – Late last night, Universal revealed that Alien vs. Predator will be the next property to be featured as a maze during their annual Halloween Horror Nights, held on soundstage 747 on the Universal backlot.
The Alien vs. Predator franchise is a long lasting 20th Century Fox property that consists of nine movies, countless comic books, and even more novels and video games, and now for the first time as a Halloween Horror Nights maze.
The Halloween Horror Nights story begins with a Predator ship carrying Alien specimens crashing in a remote forest, and they began fighting for control. As the conflict spills over into the countryside, innocent guests inevitably get caught in the crossfire.
Meanwhile, over in Florida, guests will be touring a facility ran by the infamous Weyland-Yutani Corporation, when some Predators decide to strike on visitors and Aliens alike. The difference in treatment is due to each park having a different creative director. John Murdy runs Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood, while Michael Aiello is in charge of the event over in Orlando.
Details are light, but more is expected to be revealed on all things Halloween Horror Nights-related this Sunday, August 10th, at ScareLA, the annual Los Angeles Halloween Convention. Inside Universal will be in attendance to share any and all information as it is revealed.
