June 8, 2014 – With Springfield and Wizarding World construction kicking into high gear, we thought we’d look at some of the smaller projects occurring at the park. Here’s what you might of missed at Universal Studios Hollywood.
1 » Finlays Receives Its Third Coat of Paint
Since its debut, Finlays has received several different color schemes and food options. A couple of weeks ago, the small food hub was shut down and has now been painted with yet another color scheme. As for the restaurant itself? It appears to remain closed for the foreseeable future.
2 » Minion Food: New Cotton Candy!
As Despicable Me continues its take over of the park, new photo opportunities and food options emerged. This time around, Jumbo Banana Cotton Candy is now being sold for $4.89.
3 » Universal’s Animal Actors Supports
In an effort to ease traffic flow for the debut of Springfield and the Wizarding World, cover supports for Universal’s Animal Actors have been removed and moved closer to the show venue – two in front of Production Central store and the other in front of Special Effects Stage.
4 » WaterWorld’s New Flooring
Since its major refurbishment in March, WaterWorld has received new additions on a consistent basis. Over the last week, new flooring towards the front of the queue has appeared.
5 » Boxtrolls Invade NBCUniversal Experience
Finally, the NBCUniversal Experience has added a few props from the upcoming picture Boxtrolls, replacing the previous Caroline display.
That does it for us and this quick look at Universal Studios Hollywood. Thanks for reading and we’ll see you in the next update.
