Universal Orlando Resort’s 2011 Summer Concert Series begins this weekend and will feature the most dynamic musical lineup in the event’s history. Six hit artists – including Drake, Boys Like Girls and Third Eye Blind – will take center stage every Saturday night from June 11 to July 16.
The celebration kicks off with the legendary female punk-pop group Go-Go’s performing some of their most unforgettable hits on the Music Plaza stage. With more than three decades in the music industry and their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame being added this year, Go-Go’s helped pioneer the new wave era. The band has sold more than seven million albums worldwide, including hits such as, “We Got The Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Head Over Heels” and “Vacation.”
With a combined total of 30 platinum albums, this year’s concert lineup features artists who have each led the U.S. music charts and continue to be some of the most popular names in music today. The full lineup can be viewed below. The concert starts at 9pm at the Music Plaza Stage.
