From the L.A. Times:
A small fire that broke out at Universal Studios’ earthquake attraction caused about $3,000 in damage but no injuries, authorities said Friday.
The fire started at 11:20 p.m. Thursday in a sound stage at the attraction and was extinguished about a half-hour later, said Matt Levesque, an inspector for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
About 50 firefighters responded to the fire, but it was held in check by the studio’s sprinkler system, Levesque said.
Authorities believe the cause was electrical, but no other details were immediately available.
The park was unaffected and all rides were open Friday morning, Levesque said.
