Universal City, California— Universal CityWalk introduces “The Awesome Date,” a convenient, flexible and exciting date night experience featuring dinner and movie for two, plus valet parking, for an affordable $25 per person.
Whether it’s a romantic evening for two or a pals’ night out on the town, “The Awesome Date” is designed to bring affordability, convenience, and flexibility to date night, while offering an exciting variety of dining options and entertainment to create a memorable night out.
“The Awesome Date” package is available weekdays from Monday-Thursday and includes valet parking plus dinner for two at participating Universal CityWalk restaurants and two tickets to a movie of choice at the CityWalk Cinemas for $25 per person. Awesome daters can book reservations Monday-Thursday from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 pm. by calling 818-508-0711 ext. 305. They’ll be directed to the CityWalk Cinemas to redeem their package upon arrival.
Specially-prepared “dinner for two” menus that include appetizers, entrées and beverages are available at participating CityWalk restaurants: Andrew’s Panda Inn, Camacho’s Cantina, Samba Brazilian Steakhouse & Lounge, Wolfgang Puck Bistro, Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, Buca di Beppo, Jillian’s, Johnny Rockets Restaurant & Sports Lounge and the Karl Strauss Brewing Company.
A mix of comedy, romance, action and adventure await guests at the CityWalk Cinemas offering daters a wide selection of the latest Hollywood blockbusters. Offering the best movie-going experience in L.A., the CityWalk Cinemas feature 19 auditoriums with cozy, ultra-plush stadium-style “rocker” seats, state-of-the-art projection and sound system and nine 3D equipped theatre screens.
Guests can opt to upgrade their “Awesome Date” to include a 3D movie when making their reservation.
For daters that want to keep the fun going, Universal CityWalk offers an endless combination of “Always Unexpected” attractions, shopping and nightlife experiences, including indoor skydiving at iFly Hollywood, nonstop laughs at the “Jon Lovitz Comedy Club,” a mechanical bull ride at Saddle Ranch Chop House, black light bowling at Jillian’s, or an exotic Caipirinha cocktail at Samba Brazilian Steakhouse & Lounge.
