





The world premiere of the attraction featured a star-studded guest list and an innovative “3D press briefing” by the attraction’s creator, Peter Jackson. “King Kong 360 3-D” is the first theme park attraction to be directed by the Oscar-winning storyteller and filmmaker. Guests aboard Studio Tour trams are given 3-D glasses as they enter an enormous soundstage larger than a football field.

Hollywood’s most talented “undead” performers bared their fangs and strutted their stuff at Universal Studios Hollywood as they auditioned to be a part of a troupe of dancing vampires for Halloween Horror Nights 2010! The fantastically creepy dance troupe will be just one of the legends that come to life for Halloween Horror Nights, and will echo one of this year’s all-new mazes.

A new version of the Special Effects Stage recently debuted in the Castle Theater, replacing the venue's ill-fated production - Creature From the Black Lagoon after its brief run. This comes at a time when the show's former home is being renovated along with Backdraft for the newly announced "Transformers" attraction appearing in the near future.

On June 1, 2008, a three alarm fire broke out at Universal Studios Hollywood, destroying New York Street, the King Kong theme park attraction and a video vault. In response, the entertainment community rallied together and assembled a world-renowned creative team to rebuild what had been lost.
